Singapore Customs updates Strategic Goods Control List

Singapore Customs has published a circular outlining changes to its Strategic Goods Control List (4 September). The new Strategic Goods (Control) Order 2018 (‘SGCO 2018’), which comes into force on 1 November, aligns Singapore’s Strategic Goods Control List with updates to the Wassenaar Arrangement’s Munitions List and the 2017 EU List of Dual-Use Items (‘EUDL’). Revisions include new controls, removal of controls, as well as ‘editorial changes for consistency and clarity of controls’. There are no changes to the scope of transhipment and transit controls.
