BIS adds some, removes some, from Entity List
22 entities ‘have been determined by the U.S. Government to be acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States.’
The US Bureau of Industry and Security (‘BIS’) has amended the Export Administration Regulations (‘EAR’) by adding 22 entities, under a total of thirty-two entries, to the Entity List.
It says that the twenty-two entities ‘have been determined by the U.S. Government to be acting contrary to the national security or foreign policy interests of the United States.’
The entities are listed under the destinations of Bahrain, France, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Syria, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
One company, Dart Aviation, has been added under several destinations (including France, Senegal, Iran and the UK).
The BIS rule also modifies one existing entry on the Entity List under the destination of Pakistan, and removes three entities from the Entity List; one under the destination of Pakistan, one under the destination of Singapore, and one under the destination of the United Arab Emirates.
