OFAC unveils new Sanctions List Service
The US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (‘OFAC’) says it has deployed its new Sanctions List Service (‘SLS’), explaining, ‘SLS is now the primary application OFAC will use to deliver sanctions list files and data to the public.’
The new service includes support for all legacy and modern sanctions list data files, which are accessible through URL redirects. Other sanctions list data are now hosted within the SLS cloud, including OFAC’s Sanctions List Search application which lets users download information from either the SDN or the non-SDN list.
‘This application is designed to facilitate the use of the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list (SDN List) and other Non-SDN lists administered by OFAC,’ OFAC announced.
A new feature is the Customize Sanctions Dataset tool, which allows users to create their own custom data sets by selecting specific sanctions lists and/or programmes. Those seeking the traditional OFAC Sanctions List Search tool can still find it at https://sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.gov/.
OFAC said it will share more information on the new application soon. Users needing technical support can contact OFAC at O_F_A_C@treasury.gov.
